Established in 2010 OWN Solicitors is a specialist criminal legal aid practice committed to providing  high standards of criminal advice and assistance to clients who may find themselves within the criminal justice system.

Our firm strives to provide a professional, friendly and efficient service and is lead by partners Matthew Nash, Kirsty Wright and Caroline Snodgrass. Matthew Nash is an experienced duty qualified Higher Courts Advocate working in our Crown Court Department alongside Steve Garratt who conducts and supervises high-profile criminal cases, including complex fraud. Chris Fairweather and Nick Cotter are both highly experienced Crown Court advocates who work alongside Matthew and Steve as well as working in both the Magistrates’ Court and the Police Station. Our team includes Duty Solicitors Tiff Whillis, Tolu Agbebi, and Harriet Burke.  Sara Ahmed is also a busy solicitor in the Magistrates’ Court and she will soon be a Duty Solicitor. Our Practice Manager is Leanne Boswell who also has the role of paralegal assisted by her fellow paralegal Tasnim Salauddin .  All at OWN Solicitors work hard to provide our clients with any support and advice that they may require. Fiona Gammon is our Accounts Administrator and Partnership Assistant and Sue Kelly our Office Administrator.  Our team is further assisted by other Duty Solicitor consultants and Barristers.

We are also delighted to say that we have recently been granted a Very High Cost Case Contract by the Legal Aid Agency.
